SF Board of Supervisors Meeting to vote on Resolution at regular BOS meeting starting at 2:00 pm
PLEASE JOIN the SF 99% Coalition and allies in supporting a resolution against the indefinite detention provisions of the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), signed into law by President Obama. The SF Board of Supervisors will hear and vote on this resolution after the rally, and with a YES vote, declare “We won’t let this injustice happen again!”
This event will honor the Day of Remembrance on February 17 which commemorates the indefinite detention of Japanese Americans during World War II. Speakers at the press conference and rally will include Karen Korematsu, co-founder of the Korematsu Institute; David Chiu, President of the SF Board of Supervisors; Joe Nicholson of the SF 99% Coalition. Nadia Kayyali, of the Bill of Rights Defense Committee, will MC.
